Our instructors are the heart of what we do and one of the reasons that children are so enthusiastic about returning to our programs again and again. The people who teach our chess clubs, curriculum classes, tournaments and camps are selected due to their already vast experience in working with groups of children. Once selected, they are trained on the CIC philosophy and curriculum in training seminars, as well as in classroom settings.
In addition, we provide ongoing seminars throughout the school year, allowing instructors to further their ability to motivate and mentor the children that they teach. Instructors are then provided with continuous feedback through in-class performance evaluations, which are conducted on an ongoing basis.
We are proud of the caliber of our instructors, and consider them one of the greatest strengths of our programs and events. All of our instructors must pass a police check, vulnerable sector search.
